It’s organised into four modules – Material processes, Physical processes, Life processes and People and places.

Each module contains four to six topics and, within each topic, you’ll find four to seven lessons.Simply click the module, topic and lesson matched to what you’re teaching. You can also search for a lesson by curriculum point or by entering a keyword into the search bar at the top of every page.

Lessons

Each Tigtag lesson contains at least one curriculum film, one context film and four to five shorter Tidbit films.

Curriculum films cover the main teaching points for the lesson. These films have a light green border.

Context films use exciting examples from the real world to deepen your pupils’ understanding of the topic. These films have a dark green border.

Tidbit films are only 30 seconds long. They encourage fun, active learning with exercises like True or false and Odd one out.

Lesson support materials

Below the films you’ll find a range of support materials to help you plan and teach your lesson.

  • Learning objectives and key teaching points
  • A suggested starter, main and review activity
  • Ideas for practical investigations and extension work
  • A quiz and review questions to assess your pupils’ understanding
  • Photos and diagrams to print out or display on your whiteboard

If teaching time is limited, you can filter these materials to reveal a ready-made one-hour lesson.

You can also print out all the support material in advance of your lesson.

Present this lesson

When you’re ready to teach the lesson, click the purple button in the right-hand corner of the page that says ‘Present this lesson’.

This will reveal an engaging, whiteboard-friendly interface with all the films and learning materials you’ll need for the lesson – minus those bits that are only relevant to you as the teacher.

And don’t forget Catch the Tigtag! An interactive game to challenge your pupils’ minds and their hand-eye coordination!
